This contract does NOT apply to campus moves (moving of campus property).

Contract services are available to all University of Minnesota employees & retirees. If the move is reimbursable by the University, the contract vendor will invoice the transferees department. If the move is not reimbursable by the University, payment is on a COD basis. Agencies will supply pre-moving information packets to each appointee. Home finding & apartment rental services also available through agencies partnering programs.

Another information resource available for candidates & new hires is the University Relocation Assistance Program (RAP). RAP provides information about the University & the Twin Cities helping to ease individuals & families transition to the metropolitan area. RAPs services include tailored information packets, personalized assistance from the RAP staff to address specific concerns & questions, spouse/partner employment assistance, & assistance in recruitment for diversity. 62% discount on moving of interstate household goods.

45% discount on storage-in-transit (SIT) Maximum period of storage-in-transit is 180 days.

Full replacement insurance is provided at no charge. Maximum liability shall be $5.00 times the weight of the shipment in pounds up to a maximum of $100,000.

Contract applies to new hires, retirees, employees leaving the University & University Alumni. Moves not reimbursed by the University are on a COD basis.
